Cannot Retrieve Device Information in Printer Utility (macOS 15 or Later)

If you cannot retrieve device information in Office Printer Utility or CUPS PS Printer Utility, it could be caused by the following. Follow the instructions in "Remedy".

Cause

Office Printer Utility or CUPS PS Printer Utility is not allowed to search for devices on the local network
Remedy
Allow Office Printer Utility or CUPS PS Printer Utility to search for devices on the local network.
(1) Open [System Settings] in macOS → click [Privacy & Security] in the sidebar.
(2) Select [Local Network].
(3) Turn on [Canon Office Printer Utility] or [Canon CUPS PS Printer Utility].
