If you do not want to use the feeder, install the Platen Cover Type Z. The cover enables originals placed on the platen glass to be held in place. For more information, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
The "Platen Cover Type Y" is an optional product for the imageRUNNER 2645i / 2645 / 2635i.
The "Platen Cover Type Z" is an optional product for the imageRUNNER 2630i / 2630 / 2625i / 2625.

Place the original on the platen glass, and close the cover.
