Operating the Limited Functions Mode

If a specific message (the service call message) appears on the display, operate the Limited Functions Mode.
If you set the Limited Functions Mode to 'On', the machine stops using the specific function that has a malfunction, and you may make copies/prints using other functions that can operate normally.
IMPORTANT
Call your service representative before you operate the module separation switch.

Cause:
The Puncher Unit-BT or Puncher Unit-BU is out of order.
Remedy:
You can make copies/prints using functions other than the hole punch function by operating the Limited Functions Mode.

E514, E530, E531, E532, E535, E537, E539, E540, E542, E566, E567, E568, E577, E578, E57a, E57b, E57c, E585

Cause:
The Staple Finisher-W PRO or Booklet Finisher-W PRO is out of order.
Remedy:
You can only output copies/prints by operating the Limited Functions Mode to restrict all of the functions for the finisher such as staple and collate.

E503-8004, E5a7, E5af, E5f0, E5f1, E5f2, E5f3, E5f4, E5f6, E5fa, E5fb, E5fc, E5fd, E5fe, E5ff

Cause:
The saddle stitcher unit of the Booklet Finisher-W PRO or the Booklet Trimmer-Fis out of order.
Remedy:
You can make copies/prints using functions other than the saddle stitch function by operating the Limited Functions Mode.

E518, E562, E569, E56a, E56b, E56e

Cause:
The Paper Folding Unit-J is out of order.
Remedy:
You can make copies/prints without using the folding mode by operating the Limited Functions Mode.

Cause:
The Perfect Binder-E is out of order.
Remedy:
You can make copies/prints using functions other than the Perfect Binding mode by operating the Limited Functions Mode.
NOTE
After setting the Limited Functions Mode to 'On', the corresponding function will be grayed out on the display, and cannot be used.

Press [Management Settings] → [Device Management] → [Limited Functions Mode].
If the Staple Finisher-AC/Booklet Finisher-AC is attached, proceed to step 4.
NOTE
For instructions on setting the Limited Functions Mode from the Service Call Message screen, see "Setting the Limited Functions Mode from the Service Call Message Screen."

Select the finishing mode you want to limit.

Select [On] or [Off] → press [OK].

Press [Close].
NOTE
The Limited Functions Mode is enabled only after you restart the machine (the main power is turned OFF, and then back ON). For instructions on restarting (turning the main power OFF, and then back ON) the machine, see "Interruptor de alimentação principal e tecla Poupança de energia."
If the DFD ADAPTER-A is attached to the machine, you cannot select [Finisher Tray A/B], [Finisher Saddle Stitch Unit], [Folding Unit], and [Finisher Puncher].
