Inside the Front Cover
This section describes how to clear a paper jam which occurs inside the top cover of the Staple Finisher-AC/Booklet Finisher-AC. The location of the Staple Finisher-AC/Booklet Finisher-AC is indicated in the following illustration.
1.
Open the front cover of the finisher.
2.
Lift up the output tray guide of Tray C.
3.
Turn the delivery knob and feed any jammed paper to the Tray C side.
4.
If paper comes out of the output area of Tray C, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
5.
Open the escape guide.
 | 1.Open the lower escape guide. |
2.Open the upper escape guide. |
6.
Check whether paper is jammed.
 | 1.If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow. |
2.Close the upper escape guide. |
7.
Lift the first flap.
8.
Check whether paper is jammed.
 | 1.If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow. |
2.Lower the first flap. | |
3.Close the lower escape guide. |
9.
Check whether paper is jammed in the puncher unit or entrance guide.
When the 2/4 Hole Puncher Unit-A/4 Hole Puncher Unit-A is attached.
 | 1.Lift the puncher unit. |
2.If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow. | |
3.Lower the puncher unit. |
When the 2/4 Hole Puncher Unit-A/4 Hole Puncher Unit-A is not attached.
 | 1.Open the entrance guide. |
2.If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow. | |
3.Close the entrance guide. |
10.
Close the front cover of the finisher.
 CAUTION |
When closing the cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury. |
11.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
NOTE |
The screen indicating the directions on how to clear the paper jam is displayed repeatedly until the paper jam is cleared. |
