Switching the Scanner Online/Offline

This explains the procedure for setting the remote scanner function online in order to use the scanner function at the device.
When using functions other than scanning, set the scanning function to offline.
Depending on the device you are using, you can set automatic online/offline. For details, refer to the manual of the device.

To Use the Scan Function

1.
Press [Scanner] in the [Home] screen of the device.
2.
Press [Online].
The scanner is online.

To Use the Functions Other Than the Scan Function

1.
Press [Scanner] in the [Home] screen of the device.
2.
Press [Offline] in the remote scanner screen.
The scanner is offline.
NOTE
While data is being transferred, you can use other functions even if the scanner is online.
If you press [Offline] while scanning, a scan cancellation confirmation dialog box is displayed. Clicking [Yes] interrupts scanning and the scanner goes offline.
