Adjusting Speed of Paper Conveyance in Invert/Output Area

If problems such as poor print quality or paper jams occur, adjust the speed of paper conveyance in the invert/output area. Doing so may improve the situation.

This function is displayed only if the settings are made available by your local authorized Canon dealer. Even if this function is displayed, do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. For more information on changing the settings, contact your local authorized Canon dealer. This setting affects how the paper is conveyed inside the machine. Making a large adjustment suddenly may become a cause of paper jams. Start with a small adjustment and increase the amount of adjustment gradually. Depending on the type of print quality problem, related items may need to be adjusted at the same time. For details, see (See "Paper Conveyance Adjustment.")

Press

(Settings/Registration).

Press [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Paper Type Management Settings].

Select the paper type to adjust from the list → press [Details/Edit].

Press [Change] for <Ppr Convey in Inv/Outp Area>.

Press [-] or [+] to adjust the correction amount → press [OK].

You can also use numeric keys to enter values.

Press [OK].
