Procedure for Setting the Page Description Language of the Device
When installing a driver via a USB connection, it is necessary to configure the device. Follow the procedure below to select the same page description language as the driver to use.
1.
Press [
Settings/Registration].
Settings/Registration].The shape or name of buttons and keys may differ, depending on the device.
For example, [Settings/Registration] may be displayed as [Menu] or [Set], or be abbreviated.

Select [Function Settings] > [Printer].
[Function Settings] may be displayed as [System Management Settings], depending on the device.

Select [PDL Selection (Plug and Play)].

Select the same page description language as the driver to install → select [OK].
NOTEThe above settings may also be required when installing the fax driver, depending on the device.
