Adjusting Print Quality

Adjust the settings below if printing results are not satisfactory.

Gradation Adjustment

If color gradation reproducibility has become so poor that the printed gradation differs markedly from the print data, make adjustments to improve color gradation reproducibility.

Density Correction

If the density of the printing is significantly different from the original document, this adjusts the scan density to be closer to the original.

Color Mismatch Correction

If the colors of printing run or blur, color mismatch (color misregistration) may have occurred. The problem may be improved by performing color mismatch correction.

Vividness Setting

You can increase the saturation of colors for color printing.

Image Size Adjustment

If the size of the image copied is slightly different from the original, fine adjustment is performed so that the printed size more closely matches the size of the original.

Dither Pattern Setting

A dither pattern suitable for an image is set to enable the gradations and curves in the image to be reproduced as smoothly as possible in the print.

Toner Amount Reduction

You can prevent excessive toner from being fixed onto paper to reduce print failure such as poor toner fixing or bleed-through.

Uneven Fill Correction

You can correct irregularities in a fill area that may occur when printing a document containing a large fill area.

Waterdrop Pattern Prevention Mode

You can set <Waterdrop Pattern Prevention Mode> for when a splattered image, white patches, streaks, etc. appear on the halftone images of two-sided print jobs.

Adjust Fixing Temperature

You can improve image quality problems that occur due to an inappropriate fixing unit temperature.

Plain Paper Fill Area Adjustment Mode

The finish quality may be able to be improved by enabling this setting when using plain paper with a smooth surface.

Heavy Paper Fill Area Image Adjustment Mode

The finish quality may be able to be improved by enabling this setting when using heavy paper without a smooth surface.

Envelope Sealing Prevention Mode

You can set <Envelope Sealing Prevention Mode> to prevent the glue on envelope flaps from melting and sealing due to the heat and pressure of the fixing unit during envelope printing.
