Use this port to connect a third-party USB memory device or USB keyboard. Connecting a USB memory device allows you to print data from the memory device.
Ventilation slots
Air from inside the machine is vented out to cool down the inside of the machine. Note that placing objects in front of the ventilation slots prevents ventilation.
Lift handles
Hold the lift handles when carrying the machine.
Sub-output tray
When using a paper type that easily curls such as labels or envelopes, you can reduce curl by opening this tray.
Protective cover (LBP458x)
This cover prevents dust from entering the machine.
Duplexing unit (LBP458x)
Open this if a paper jam occurs during two-sided printing or in the output tray.
LAN port
Use a commercially available LAN cable to connect to a device such as a wired LAN router.

Connect a USB cable when connecting the machine and a computer.
The USB port (for computer connection) supports USB 2.0.

Connect USB devices used with AddOn applications. Connect USB memory to export or import the settings of the machine.

ACT indicator
The ACT indicator blinks while data is being sent or received.
LNK indicator
The LNK indicator blinks green when the machine is properly connected to a network.
