Configuring the Connection (HTTPS)

This section describes the settings used by this software to communicate with the Remote Monitoring Server using HTTPS.
NOTE
You can import a settings file exported from the imageWARE Enterprise Management Console RDS Plug-in to this software to carry over the connection settings and device information of the RDS Plug-in. For more information, see the following.

Select the [System] menu > [Connection Settings].

Configure the required settings on the [Connection Settings] page.
[Proxy Settings]
When using a proxy server, configure the following settings.
Select [Communicate through parent proxy].
Enter the address of the proxy server in [Proxy Server].
Enter the port number used for communicating with the proxy server in [Port Number].
To use Basic authentication for the proxy server, select [Authenticate user].
In [User Name], enter the name of the user to use for the Basic authentication of the proxy server.
In [Password], enter the password of the user to use for the Basic authentication of the proxy server.
[Service Settings]
Enter the unique RDS ID used by the Remote Monitoring Server for identifying this software in [RDS ID].
If you are using this software in a region where your local service center uses 12 character device IDs, select [Pad short device IDs with leading zeroes].
IMPORTANT
If you are unsure whether your local service center uses 12 character device IDs, contact your local service center. If you specify the wrong setting, this software will be unable to send data to the Remote Monitoring Server.

Click [Communication Test] to perform a communication test with the specified settings.
If the communication test fails, the entered settings cannot be registered to this software. Check the entered settings, and perform the communication test again.

If the communication test is successful, click [Update].
If the communication test is successful, the schedule for sending data to the Remote Monitoring Server is displayed on the following screen.
Select [System] > [Sending Schedule] > select the [Sending Schedule] page

The timing for retrieving the schedule from the Remote Monitoring Server is indicated below.
