Paper Jams in the Buffer Pass Unit
This section describes how to clear a paper jam which occurs in the buffer pass unit between POD Deck-E and the main unit. Check the paper jam location on the screen, and follow the procedure below to remove the paper.
The location of paper jam in the buffer pass unit is indicated in the following illustration.

When opening and closing each guide or cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught in the gap. |

The following illustration indicates the location of the paper jam. Please refer to it to remove the jammed paper.  |

Open the front cover of the buffer pass unit.

Open the guide (B1), and turn the dial (B2).

Remove any jammed paper.

Close the guide (B1).

Open the guide (B3).

Remove any jammed paper.

Close the guide (B3).

Remove any jammed paper from the escape tray output exit.

Open the guide (C1).

Open the guide (C2).

Remove any jammed paper.

Close the guide (C2).

Close the guide (C1).

Close the front cover of the buffer pass unit.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.
