Adjusting Secondary Transfer Belt Speed

When the speed of the secondary transfer belt is not suitable, image problems such as roughness and vertical streaks may occur during double-sided printing on thin paper or printing on thick paper. In this case, adjust the secondary transfer belt speed.
This function is displayed only if the settings are made available by your local authorized Canon dealer. Even if this function is displayed, do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. For more information on changing the settings, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
Adjusting this function affects the zoom ratio setting (<Zoom (f)>). Always readjust the zoom ratio after adjusting this function. (→Adjusting the Zoom Ratio of the Image)

Press Settings/Registration.

Press [Preferences] → [Paper Settings] → [Paper Type Management Settings].

Select the paper type that you want to edit from the list → press [Details/Edit].

Press [Change] for <Adj. Secondary Transfer Belt Speed>.

Press [-] or [+] to adjust the secondary transfer belt speed → [OK].
You can also use the numeric keys.
If image problems occur on thin paper, press [+] to adjust.
If image problems occur on thick paper, press [+] or [-] to adjust. If the problem persists, adjust to the reverse side.

Press [OK].
