Adjusting Speed of Paper Conveyance

If problems such as poor print quality or paper jams occur, adjust the speed of paper conveyance. Doing so may improve the situation.


Do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. For more information on changing the settings, contact your local authorized Canon dealer. This setting affects how the paper is conveyed inside the machine. Making a large adjustment suddenly may become a cause of paper jams. Start with a small adjustment and increase the amount of adjustment gradually. Depending on the type of print quality problem, related items may need to be adjusted at the same time.

Press

Settings/Registration.

Press <Preferences>

<Paper Type Management Settings>.

Select the paper type to adjust from the list

press <Details/Edit>.

Press <Change> for <Adjust Paper Conveyance>.

Select items to be adjusted

Press <-> or <+> to adjust the correction amount

press <OK>.

You can also use numeric keys to enter values.

Press <OK>.
