Managing Data in the Memory/Storage

The memory/storage of the machine contains data such as Address Book information, undeleted job data, and password information. By encrypting this data, you can prevent the information from being accessed without authorization.
Encrypting the data in the memory/storage does not guarantee that the data is protected from all unauthorized acts. Take sufficient care when managing data.
Encrypted data cannot be read even if you remove the storage device and install it in another Canon multifunction printer.
The machine generates 128-bit encryption keys and uses the AES-XTS algorithm for encryption.
