Specifying the Initial Settings (Device Setting Value Monitoring)

When monitoring the device setting values of printers, it is recommended that you configure the initial settings described here.
Configuring the initial settings enables you to perform the following in this software.
Create monitoring data by extracting monitoring items and setting values common to all models using the data backed up from the printers
Check the value of [Data Path] in the path format on the [Details for Device Setting Values] page in the monitoring data
The [Details for Device Setting Values] page is displayed by performing the following operation.
Click the name in the [Data Name] field in the [Monitoring data] list in the [Data Management] menu > [Device Setting Values] > [Device Setting Values Data] page
IMPORTANT
The initial settings are not required. If you do not configure the initial settings, you cannot create monitoring data in this software. It is necessary to create device setting value data for monitoring in Device Settings Configurator and upload it to this software.
Even if you configure the initial settings, monitoring data for items unique to some models cannot be created in this software. If you want to monitor items unique to some models, it is necessary to create device setting values in Device Settings Configurator and upload them to this software.
NOTE
If a settings file for Device Settings Configurator version 2.0.7 or later (when the FIPS mode is enabled, version 2.0.8 or later) has been uploaded to this software, such as when this software has been upgraded from an older version, the value in [Data Path] on the [Details for Device Setting Values] page for the monitoring data can be displayed in the path format, even without configuring the initial settings.
