Configuring CHMP
Configure the settings related to the communication that occurs when the driver or application software obtains device information from the machine.
* CHMP is a Canon proprietary protocol.
Configure these settings using Remote UI from a computer. You cannot use the control panel to configure the settings.
Administrator privileges are required.

Log in to Remote UI in System Manager Mode.

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Settings/Registration].

Click [Network Settings]
[CHMP Settings]
[Edit].
The [Edit CHMP Settings] screen is displayed.

Select the [Enable HTTPS Redirection] checkbox.
* Communication that uses CHMP will be redirected to encrypted communication.

Click [OK].
The settings are applied.

Import the certificate to the computer, as needed.
Perform this operation only if a self-signed certificate is generated when TLS is enabled.
You can skip this step if a self-signed certificate is not generated.
