Configuring the Device Discovery Task
Configure a device discovery task when the following conditions apply.
When information (such as IP addresses and MAC addresses) for the devices to manage with this software is not registered to the Remote Monitoring Server (when registering the information discovered with this software to the Remote Monitoring Server)
By setting the IP address and host name of the device here, the device discovery task is automatically executed when the preferences configured after this are complete, and the discovered devices are registered to this software.

Select the [Tasks] menu > [Built-In Tasks].

Click [Discover Devices].

Configure the task on the [Built-In Task Details] page.
[Task Execution] does not need to be changed from the default value.
Select [Active] for [Active/Inactive].
Enter the information for the device to discover in [Discovery Settings].
[IPv4 Addresses] | Enter the range of IPv4 addresses for the devices to manage with this software. Enter individual IPv4 addresses, ranges of IPv4 addresses as a start address and end address separated with a hyphen, or IPv4 addresses and their mask length separated by a slash (the CIDR format). Example: 192.168.10.0-192.168.19.255 192.168.100.0-192.168.119.255 192.168.11.0/24 192.168.200.11 192.168.200.12 |
[Host Name] | Enter the host names for the devices to manage with this software. Enter each host name on a separate line. |
4.
Click [Apply].
