Configuring the Preferences

This section describes the procedure for configuring the settings to enable communication with the Remote Monitoring Server.

Configuring the Connection

1.
Confirm that the device [Monitoring Mode] is set.
IMPORTANT
If the [Monitoring Mode] is not set, connection settings cannot be configured.
2.
Confirm that an authentication information file (keytab file) for proxy server connection has been created.
This file may be required, depending on the environment where this software will operate. If the required conditions are met, it may also be able to be automatically generated by configuring the connection settings. For details, see the following.
3.
When migrating from the imageWARE Enterprise Management Console RDS Plug-in, prepare a settings file exported from the RDS Plug-in.
4.
Select [System] menu > [Connection Settings] in this software.

When you have a settings file exported from the RDS Plug-in, import the settings.
Click [Import].
Select the settings file on the import screen.

This setting is required when [Monitoring Mode] is set to [CCA Mode].
[Authenticate with user name and password]

If communication with the Remote Monitoring Server fails, check whether the entered information is correct.
IMPORTANT
If the environment requires periodic changing of the user password used for authentication when connecting to the proxy server, enter the new password on this page then perform a communication test and confirm that the Remote Monitoring Server can connect.

Configuring the Sending Schedule

This section describes the procedure for configuring the schedule for sending data from this software to the Remote Monitoring Server.
NOTE
For devices monitored using the Cloud Connection Agent function, data is sent according to a schedule retrieved from the Remote Monitoring Server, rather than this schedule.
1.
Select the [System] menu > [Sending Schedule].
2.
On the [Sending Schedule] page, configure the required settings.
[Sending Schedule Settings]
[Send Time]
Select the time to set the data.
The data starts sending within 29 minutes of the specified time.
Example: If 10:30 is specified, it will start sending between 10:30 and 10:59.
If you have upgraded from an older version of this software and a time that is not available in this version was specified in the older version, the time is set to the nearest time before the specified time.
[Sending Interval]
When [24 Hours] is selected, the data is sent at the time selected in [Send Time].
When [12 Hours] is selected, the data is sent at the time selected in [Send Time] and 12 hours later.
3.
Click [Update].
