Built-in Tasks
This section describes the built-in tasks.
Built-in tasks are tasks that are registered to this software from the start and are periodically executed automatically. Built-in tasks cannot be deleted.
Whether to execute and the execution period can be set for some built-in tasks, but not others.
Tasks with Configurable Execution and Execution Cycle
The execution and execution cycle can be changed for these tasks on the following page.
Click the [Tasks] menu > [Built-In Tasks] click the [Built-In Tasks] page
[Retrieve Device Information]
Retrieves basic information from the device.
This task is executed at the following timing in addition to the specified execution cycle.
When device information is imported to this software from an RDS Plug-in settings file
The retrieved information can be checked on the following page.
Click the [Devices] menu > [Monitored Device List] > [Device ID] > click the [Device Details] page
[Discover Devices] (Only when HTTPS is the protocol for communication with the Remote Monitoring Server)
Perform device discovery.
This task is executed at the following timing in addition to the specified execution cycle.
When [Execute Now] is clicked on the following page

[Device Registration] (Only when HTTPS is the protocol for communication with the Remote Monitoring Server)
Perform a function check and communication test, and register the device to the Remote Monitoring Server.
This task is executed at the following timing in addition to the specified execution cycle.
When the process for retrieving the device list from the Remote Monitoring Server is periodically executed
When [Retrieve Device List] is clicked on the following page
[Devices] menu > [Monitored Device List] > [Manage Devices] > [Managed Devices] tab

[Check Device Management Information Retrieval] (Only when SMTP is the protocol for communication with the Remote Monitoring Server)
Check whether the devices registered to this software support the function for sending data to the Remote Monitoring Server.
This task is executed at the following timing in addition to the specified execution cycle.
When device information is imported from an RDS Plug-in settings file
When a device discovered on the following page is added

Tasks without Configurable Execution and Execution Cycle
Counter monitoring
Various counter information is retrieved from the device every eight hours. For information on the retrieved information, see the following.
Status monitoring
Various status information is retrieved from the device every five minutes. For information on the retrieved information, see the following.
Log monitoring
Various log information is retrieved from the device every five minutes. For information on the retrieved information, see the following.
Event management
Event notification is sent to the device every five minutes in order to receive the events issued by the device.
Power state management
Notifications on the power state of the device are always received.
When HTTPS is used as the protocol for communication with the Remote Monitoring Server, the power state of devices with [CCA] selected for [Monitoring Method] cannot be managed.
