Devices (When HTTPS Is the Protocol for Communication with the Remote Monitoring Server)
More than 3000 managed devices were found.
Remedy
This message is displayed when [Monitoring Mode] is set to [CCA Mode] in this software and more than 3,000 devices are found. In this case, the following operations are required.
1. | Prepare another RDS ID on the Remote Monitoring Server, and perform adjustment so that the number of target devices for monitoring will be 3,000 or less for each RDS ID. |
2. | Install an instance of this software to a computer other than the one where this software is running, and use the newly prepared RDS ID to configure the initial settings. |
More than 1000 devices managed by polling communications were found.
Remedy
This message is displayed when more than 1,000 devices with [Monitoring Method] set to [Polling] are found. In this case, the following operations are required.
When [Monitoring Mode] is set to [CCA Mode] in this software:
1. | Check the number of devices with [Monitoring Method] set to [Polling] on the [Managed Devices] tab of this software. |
2. | Prepare another RDS ID on the Remote Monitoring Server, and perform adjustment so that the number of target devices for monitoring via polling will be 1000 or less. |
3. | If the message "More than 3000 managed devices were found." is displayed, perform adjustment so that the number of target devices for monitoring will be 3,000 or less for each RDS ID. |
4. | Install an instance of this software to a computer other than the one where this software is running, and use the newly prepared RDS ID to configure the initial settings. |
When [Monitoring Mode] is set to [Standard Mode] in this software:
1. | Prepare another RDS ID on the Remote Monitoring Server, and perform adjustment so that the number of target devices for monitoring will be 1000 or less for each RDS ID. |
2. | Install an instance of this software to a computer other than the one where this software is running, and use the newly prepared RDS ID to configure the initial settings. |
One or more devices could not be registered to the list of managed devices because the device ID, MAC address, IP address, or host name is the same as that of another device on the list of retrieved devices.
Remedy
Multiple devices with the same device ID, MAC address, IP address, or host name are registered in the Remote Monitoring Server. Register the correct device information to the Remote Monitoring Server, and retrieve the device list again.
One or more devices could not be registered to the list of managed devices because the IP address or host name is the same as that of a device already registered to the list.
Remedy
Different devices with the same MAC address, IP address, or host name are registered to this software. Such devices are displayed in the [Devices Removed from Management] list. Check whether the information of the devices in the [Devices Removed from Management] list is correct, and register the correct information for those devices to the Remote Monitoring Server. When the correct information is registered in both the Remote Monitoring Server and this software, retrieve the device list again.
Devices (When SMTP Is the Protocol for Communication with the Remote Monitoring Server)
Checking device management information retrieval is complete. Some devices could not be added as monitored devices because more than 1000 device IDs were found.
There are already 1000 registered devices.
Remedy
Up to 1,000 monitored devices can be registered to this software.
In this case, the following operations are required.
1. | Prepare another RDS ID on the Remote Monitoring Server, and perform adjustment so that the number of target devices for monitoring will be 1,000 or less for each RDS ID. |
2. | Install an instance of this software to a computer other than the one where this software is running, and use the newly prepared RDS ID to configure the initial settings. |
Filter
The specified item cannot be added because it is already set.
Remedy
Multiple conditions cannot be set for the specified item. Delete the set condition before adding the new condition.
Importing an RDS Plug-in Configuration File
The format of the imported file is incorrect.
Remedy
Prepare an RDS Plug-in configuration file with the correct content. For more information, see the following.
The number of devices for registration has exceeded the maximum number of devices that can be registered.
Remedy
The number of devices that can be monitored with this software depend on the protocol for communication with the Remote Monitoring Server. For details, see the following.
An error occurred during import. One or more devices with no MAC address information exist.
Remedy
A device without MAC address information was included in the settings file of the RDS Plug-in.
Export a settings file that does not include a device without MAC address information from the RDS Plug-in, and import it to this software.
For the RDS Plug-in (HTTP):
1. | Log in to iW Management Console as the RDS Plug-in administrator. |
2. | Select [e-Maintenance (HTTP)] > [Device Management (Service Representative Only)] > [Monitored Device Management (Service Representative Only)]. |
3. | In the [Monitored Devices] list, delete any devices with something other than [Registered (Completed)] displayed for [Status]. Ensure that only devices with [Registered (Completed)] displayed remain in the [Monitored Devices] list. You can use the filter function to filter the devices to delete by their status. |
4. | Select [e-Maintenance (HTTP)] > [Configuration (Service Representative Only)] > [Export (Service Representative Only)]. |
