Setting the Department ID and PIN for the Administrator
Set the Administrator ID and Administrator PIN to create an administrator account.
By creating an administrator account, only those users who know these credentials can log in to Administrator Mode to view and change important settings.
Administrator ID and PINThis section describes how to configure the settings using the control panel.
You can also configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer after the Administrator ID and PIN have been set on the machine.
Managing the Machine from a Computer (Remote UI)Administrator privileges are required.

On the control panel, press [Menu] in the [Home] screen.

Press [Management Settings]

[User Management]

[Administrator Information Settings].
The [Admin. Info. Settings] screen is displayed.
If the login screen appears, enter the currently set Administrator ID and PIN, and then press

or [Log In].

Press [Administrator ID and Administrator PIN]

Enter the Administrator ID, and press [Apply].
Specify any number. You cannot set a Administrator ID consisting of all zeros, such as "00" or "0000000."

Enter the Administrator PIN, and press [Apply].
Specify any number other than "7654321." You cannot set a PIN consisting of all zeros, such as "00" or "0000000."

Enter the PIN again, and press [Apply].
The settings are applied.

Do not forget the Administrator ID and PIN. If you forget your Administrator ID and PIN, contact your dealer or service representative. |

Setting the Administrator Information (imageRUNNER 2224N II Only)On the [Admin. Info. Settings] screen, press [Administrator Name] to set the name of the administrator. You can also configure the e-mail address and other administrator information by using Remote UI from a computer. The set e-mail address becomes the destination that is selected by clicking [Email to Administrator] on the Portal page of Remote UI.
