[Windows] Installing the scanner driver and MF Scan Utility (network environment)
Steps for installing the scanner driver and MF Scan Utility using the installer are described here.
Install the scanner driver and install MF Scan Utility.
This section uses Windows 10 as an example.
When you start the computer, log on as an Administrators member.
IMPORTANT
Scanning by the scanner driver or MF Scan Utility is not available in IPv6.
Downloading the scanner driver and MF Scan Utility

In your browser, open https://global.canon/en/support/.

Select your country or region.

Click "Support".

Open the download page for the driver and software.

Download the driver and software.
Select "MFDrivers" to install the scanner driver.

To install MF Scan Utility, select MF Scan Utility in [Software].

Double-click the downloaded file to decompress it.
The installer starts.
If the installer does not start automatically after the file is decompressed, double-click [Setup.exe].

Select a language, and then click [Next].

Confirm the content of the license agreement, and then click [Yes].

If a [Select the Type of Connection] window appears, select [Network Connection (for Network Models)], and then click [Next].

Select the machine and click [Next].
If the machine is not displayed in [Device List], click [Update Device List].
If the machine does not appear
[Search by IP Address] 
Enter the IP address of the machine [OK]

Select the scanner driver, and then click [Next].
When installing the scanner driver, select the MF driver.

Check the settings, and then click [Start].

Click [Next].

Click [Exit].
When the driver is installed correctly, the machine appears in [
Start] [
Settings] [Devices] [Printers & scanners] in Windows.
