Registering Unit Names and Fax Numbers for Multiple Fax Lines
This section describes how to register unit names and fax numbers for multiple fax lines.
The description given here is for registering unit names and fax numbers for multiple fax lines in the following example:
One imageRUNNER ADVANCE unit is used by the Sales and General Affairs divisions.
The Sales Division uses fax line 1 (0123000001).
The General Affairs Division uses fax line 2 (0123000002).
NOTE
Use the procedure below to set the TX Terminal ID beforehand.

The optional G3 Line Addition Kit is required to connect multiple fax lines.
Screens may differ depending on your model and the installed options.
Registering the Unit Name and Fax Number for Fax Line 1

Log in as an administrator on this machine's control panel.
Logging In as an Administrator2
On the <Home> screen, press
(Settings/Registration).

Press <Function Settings>
<Send>
<Fax Settings>
<Set Line>.

Press <Line 1>
<Register Unit Telephone Number>.

Use the numeric keys to enter the fax number.
In this example, "0123000001" is entered.

Press <OK>.
The fax number for line 1 is now registered. Next, register the unit name.

Press <Register Unit Name>.

Enter the unit name for line 1.
In this example, "Sales Division" is entered.

Press <OK>.
The unit name for line 1 is now registered.

<TX Terminal ID> to <Print>, you can have the TX Terminal ID appear on the recipient's side when you send faxes.
