Important
Operations are not guaranteed when Desktop is started by selecting [Run As] in Windows XP.
In Windows 8/Windows 8.1, Desktop can only be operated on the desktop. Windows To Go is not supported.

Web Browser

In order to authenticate the license for Desktop as well as to read HTML-format manuals, one of the following Web browsers needs to be installed on the system.
Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6.0/7.0/8.0/9.0/10.0/11.0

Printer Driver/Fax Driver

Install the latest Canon printer driver and fax driver that are supported by your device.
Note
Installing Desktop does not install any printer driver and fax driver. You need to install them separately.
For the drivers supported by each model, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

*1 Search speed performance will be enhanced and full-text searches will become available. However, you may need iFilter supported by each document format in order to perform full-text searches. For comfortable operation of Windows Search 4.0, prepare a higher specification computer than the recommended specification above.
*2 To perform a full-text search in Desktop, iFilter is required.

Microsoft Office Versions Supporting Desktop Office Toolbar

To use Desktop Office Toolbar, Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010/2013 and [Office Shared Features] - [Visual Basic for Applications] must be installed.
To use the database with Variable Editor or to use an Excel or CSV file to load the address book, Microsoft Office 2007 or later must be installed. (Alternatively, you can install the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributablefrom the Desktop Installation Media.)
Terminal Server (Service)/Citrix Presentation Server Support
Since Desktop is not supported by the Terminal Server (Service) and Citrix Presentation Server, the central application management and multi-user function are not available in network environments.
