Dividing PDF Documents into Individual Pages

DT03009
You can divide PDF documents into individual pages.
Note
The divided PDF documents are stored in the same location as the original document.
In a SharePoint Server Library and Network Library that have no Recycle Bin, the original PDF document and the divided PDF documents are all stored in the same location as the original PDF document.
In Document Server Library or SharePoint Server Library, you cannot divide the PDF document stored in the location for which you do not have the edit permission or higher.
You cannot divide more than one PDF document at the same time.
If the original document is a PDF document with Reader Extensions, the Reader Extensions function is deleted from the document after division.
1.
Select a PDF document to divide from the File List View Pane.
2.
Click (Separate Document into Single Pages) on the Toolbar.
Or, follow one of the steps described below.
Select [Separate Document into Single Pages] in the [Edit] menu
Right-click the File List View Pane and select [Separate Document into Single Pages]
The [Separate Document into Single Pages] dialog box is displayed.

If buttons are not displayed on the Desktop Browser Toolbar, set the buttons on the Toolbar. For more information, see the following.
The [Separate Document into Single Pages] dialog box is displayed when the [Select original document processing when separating document into single pages] check box is selected.
[Settings] > [System Settings] > [Browser] > [Display Dialog Box] > [Select original document processing when separating document into single pages]
3.
Select the processing method for the document that will be divided.
[Original Document Processing]

[Keep original document]
Keep the same processing method for the original document.
[Do not keep original document]

[Do not show this dialog box again]
From now on, the [Separate Document into Single Pages] dialog box is not displayed. The processing mode selected in [Original Document Processing] will be performed in the original PDF.
4.
Click [OK].
A separate PDF document is created for each page.
Note
Each of the divided PDF documents is saved with '_1' or '_2' appended at the end of its original document name. If another document with the same name already exists in the location to save to, the document name has "(2)" added after "_1" or "_2."
When you divide a PDF document in a Document Server Library or SharePoint Server Library for which [Create Version] is enabled, the [Enter Version Comments] dialog box is displayed.
You can set the [Enter Version Comments] dialog box to not display. For more information, see the following.
