Configuring the Fax Received Notification Settings

The Printer Monitor main icon status is alternately displayed with the fax received notification icon in the task tray. The fax received notification message or sound can be set to notify you that a fax has been received.
Note
You can monitor the fax receive status only of the fax to which the application-enabled port has been specified using Desktop Monitor Setup.
The default settings of Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 8.1 restrict icons displayed in the task tray area. Follow the steps below to display the Printer Monitor icons in the task tray area.

Right-click (Main) on the task tray, and select [Printer Monitor Tool].
The [Printer Monitor Settings] dialog box is displayed.
2.
Select the [Display notification for received faxes using Printer Monitor icon] check box to notify you that a fax has been received via an icon. Select the [Notify by message when fax is received] check box to notify you of this via a message.
Note
When you select the [Display notification for received faxes using Printer Monitor icon] check box, after a fax is received, the status display is displayed alternately with the fax received notification in the main icon on the task tray.
