Starting Document Monitor

Follow the steps below to start Document Monitor.
Note
Document Monitor starts when starting Desktop Browser.
When another user who is logged into the same computer has already started Document Monitor, you cannot newly start Document Monitor.
The default settings of Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 8.1 restrict icons displayed in the task tray area. Follow the steps below to display the Document Monitor icons in the task tray area.
1.Select the [Start] menu (for Windows 7) or the Charm [Settings] (for Windows 8/Windows 8.1) > [Control Panel].
[Control Panel] is displayed.
2.Select [Small icons] in [View by].
All the Control Panel items are shown in [Control Panel].
3.Select [Notification Area Icons].
The [Notification Area Icons] window is displayed.
4.Select the [Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar] check box, and click [OK].
The [Notification Area Icons] window closes.
5.Close [Control Panel].
If you only want to set the "main icon", set [Show icon and notifications].

Start the computer.
When the computer is started, Document Monitor is automatically started, and (Main) is displayed on the task tray.
Note
If (Main) is already displayed in the task tray, it does not need to be launched again.
To start Document Monitor when the computer is started, select the [Start Document Monitor at computer startup] check box.
[Settings] > [System Settings] > [Common Settings] > [Preferences] > [Start Document Monitor at computer startup]

Exiting Document Monitor

Follow the steps below to exit Document Monitor.
1.
Right-click (Main) on the task tray, and select [Exit].
Document Monitor is exited.
Note
If the [Start Document Monitor at computer startup] check box is not selected, Document Monitor will close when closing Desktop Browser.
[Settings] > [System Settings] > [Common Settings] > [Preferences] > [Start Document Monitor at computer startup]

Setting Not to Start When a Computer Starts

Follow the settings below to not start Document Monitor automatically when the computer starts.
Note
Printer Monitor is set to start when a computer starts in the default settings.
1.
Select the [Settings] menu > [System Settings] from the Desktop Browser screen.
The [System Settings] dialog box is displayed.
2.
[Settings] > [System Settings] > [Common Settings] > [Preferences] > [Start Document Monitor at computer startup]
Deselect [Start Document Monitor at computer startup].
3.
Click [OK].
