List of Settings Carried Over
Confirming the Settings That Could Not Be Carried Over from Publishing Manager
Note
Importing iW documents created using the following versions of applications into Document Binder is not supported:
Publishing Manager Version 3.0 or earlier
All versions of Publishing Manager Professional Edition
All versions of Prepress Manager
iW documents (*.iwd) can be edited in Document Binder, however their settings are not maintained when opening them.
Segment settings (variable printing settings, annotation drawing) performed in Publishing Manager v2.0 or earlier
You can use Publishing Manager and Desktop in the same computer, but there are no functions to link the two.
You cannot import an iW document that is being used into a binder document.
Because the group information of iW documents is lost during conversion/import, there are no groups when you start editing objects in Object Layout Editor.
To use the database with Variable Editor or to use an Excel or CSV file to load the address book, Microsoft Office 2007 or later must be installed. (Alternatively, you can install the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributablefrom the Desktop Installation Media.)
