Importing Publishing Manager Data to Document Binder

Some of the settings of Publishing Manager Version 3.0 can be converted to Desktop settings and carried over.

Importing iW documents created using the following versions of applications into Document Binder is not supported: Publishing Manager Version 3.0 or earlier All versions of Publishing Manager Professional Edition All versions of Prepress Manager iW documents (*.iwd) can be edited in Document Binder, however their settings are not maintained when opening them. Confirming the Settings That Could Not Be Carried Over from Publishing Manager

When you open Publishing Manager data with Document Binder, a list of the settings that could not be carried over is displayed.

Drag and drop an iW document (.iwd) to the [iW Desktop Binder] shortcut icon created on the desktop.

Document Binder starts and the [iW Document File Conversion] dialog box is displayed.

Confirm the message and click [Copy to Clipboard].

The content of the [iW Document File Conversion] dialog box is copied to the clipboard.

Note
Copying and pasting the content of the [iW Document File Conversion] dialog box to a text file is convenient for specifying print settings again. The [iW Document File Conversion] dialog box is not displayed when importing Publishing Manager data to Document Binder.

Click [Close].
