Starting and Exiting Desktop Monitor Setup
In Desktop Monitor Setup, you can configure the port and printer settings.

Starting Desktop Monitor Setup
Follow the steps below to start Desktop Monitor Setup.
1.
Start Windows and log onto the system as a user with Administrator privileges.
2.
Right-click 
(Main) on the task tray, and select [Start Monitor Setup].

If
(Main) is not displayed in the task tray, start Printer Monitor and display (Main).When using Windows XP, click the [Start] menu > [Programs] > [Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE] > [Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE] > [iR-ADV Desktop] > [imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Printer Monitor].
When using Windows Vista/7, click the [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE] > [Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE] > [imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop] > [imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Printer Monitor].
When using Windows 8, click the [imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Printer Monitor] tile on the [Start] screen.
When using Windows 8.1, click
 on the [Start] screen, and then click the [imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Printer Monitor].The appearance of the
(Main) icon in Printer Monitor changes depending on the current settings and the notification status. |
The main window of Desktop Monitor Setup is displayed.
When starting Desktop Monitor Setup, the printer list is displayed in the main window. Clicking [Port List] switches the display to the port list.
Exiting Desktop Monitor Setup
Follow the steps below to exit Desktop Monitor Setup.
1.
Click 
(Close) on the Desktop Monitor Setup.
(Close) on the Desktop Monitor Setup.Or, select the [File] menu > [Exit].
