Paper Jams in the Booklet Finisher-X

Check the location of the paper jam on the touch panel display, and remove it. The Booklet Finisher-X is optional. Optional Equipment
Confirm before handling
If there is any paper in the booklet tray, remove it.

Inside the Front Cover

Paper jam locations are indicated by numbers such as F-A1 or F-B1, which are shown in the illustration below.

Open the front cover of the finisher.

If the Puncher Unit-BF or Puncher Unit-BG (for the 230 V machine only) is attached, slide the guide (F-A1) to align it with the mark.
* Slide the guide in or out to align the nearest  with the mark ().

Open the guide (F-B1).

Check whether paper is jammed
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the guide (F-B1).

Open the guide (F-B2).

Turn the dial (F-B3) in the direction of the arrow.

If paper is jammed in the guide (F-B2), gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Check whether paper is jammed in the guide (F-B4).
Open the guide (F-B4).
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the guide (F-B4).

Close the guide (F-B2).

Close the front cover of the finisher.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.

Saddle Stitcher Unit of the Booklet Finisher-X

Paper jam locations are indicated by numbers such as F-C1 or F-C2, which are shown in the illustration below.
* Delivery guide

Open the front cover of the finisher.

Open the guide (F-C1).

Open the guide (F-C2).

Check whether paper is jammed.
Turn the knob (F-C3) in the direction of the arrow.
If paper is jammed, it is fed to the guide (F-C2).
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the guide (F-C2).

Close the guide (F-C1).

While pushing in the dial (F-C4), turn it in the direction of the arrow until the lamp turns off.
This procedure is not required if the lamp is off.

Remove any output paper from the booklet tray.

Pull out the saddle stitcher unit (F-C5).

Check whether paper is jammed in the right cover of the saddle stitcher unit (F-C6).
Open the right cover (F-C6).
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the right cover (F-C6).

Open the delivery guide, and Check whether paper is jammed.
This procedure is not required if the Inner Booklet Trimmer-A is attached.
If paper is jammed, open the delivery guide and gently pull out the paper in the direction of the arrow.
Close the delivery guide.

Push the saddle stitcher unit (F-C5), and close the front cover of the finisher.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.
