Specifying the Orientation of the Original Image
You can specify the orientation of an original placed on the platen glass or into the feeder as vertical or horizontal.
By properly specifying the orientation of the original, you can ensure a proper scan result.
1.
Press [Copy] .
2.
Press [Options] → [Orig. Content Orientation] .
3.
Select the orientation of the original.
The orientation types of originals are as follows:

[Portrait]:
Portrait refers to an original in vertical orientation:
the shorter edges are at the top and bottom of the original.

[Landscape]:
Landscape refers to an original in horizontal orientation:
the shorter edges are at the left and right of the original.
