Remote Fax TX Settings
You can specify settings to use the machine as the client-machine for Remote Fax.
This mode can be set when the Remote Fax function is available for use. For information on the optional products required to use the Remote Fax function, see "Optional Products Required for Each Function."
Remote Fax Server Address
You can specify the IP address or the host name for the imageRUNNER ADVANCE series (Remote Fax Server) on the server-side.
You can register the IPv4 (Internet Protocol Version 4) address and IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) address.
TX Timeout
If the Remote Fax Server does not respond for the time set for the TX Timeout, the remote fax job is cancelled.
No. of Sending Lines
You can set the number of lines you can select when sending remote fax. Set the number of lines to the same number of telephone lines connected to the remote fax server.
Priority TX
The line specified in [Priority TX] is selected to send if the line is not in use. When the priority line is not selected, the machine selects the line automatically.

If Department ID Management is set on the remote fax server, you can perform sending by logging in to the remote fax client using a Department ID and PIN registered in the remote fax server.

Sending IP Faxes Using the Remote Fax Function
You can send IP faxes with the remote fax function. You need to specify the following settings before sending IP faxes by using the remote fax function.
Use IP Fax
Setting this function to 'On' enables you to start specifying the settings for sending IP faxes with the remote fax function.
IP Fax Communication Mode Setttings
You can specify the communication modes used on a remote fax client machine according to those used on a remote fax server machine. The communication modes that you set to 'On' in [IP Fax Communication Mode Settings] become available when you register IP fax destinations or send IP faxes to new destinations.
Enabling URI Address Registration
You can use not only a fax number, but also a URI address for an IP fax destination. For more information, see "Enabling URI Address Registration."

To specify the remote fax server address:
Press [Remote Fax Server Address].
Enter the host name or the IP address → press [OK].
A host name is a name assigned to a host computer that provides services on the network. Enter the name for the Remote Fax Server.
To specify the TX Timeout settings:
Press [TX Timeout].
Specify the time by pressing [-] or [+] → press [OK].
To select the number of lines to use for sending:
Press [No. of TX Lines].
Select the telephone line by pressing [-] or [+] → press [OK].
To select the line:
Press [Select Priority Line].
Select [Auto] or the line to use → press [OK].
To use IP fax:
Press [Use IP Fax].
Press [On] → [OK].
Select [Off] if you do not want to send IP faxes with the remote fax function.

Changes to this mode are enabled after you restart the machine. If this mode is set to 'On', the setting items for using the IP fax function become available after the machine is restarted. For instructions on restarting the machine (turning the main power switch OFF, and then ON), see "Main Power and Energy Saver Key."

To specify the IP Fax Communication Mode Settings:
Press [IP Fax Communication Mode Settings].
Press [On] for the communication modes used on the server machine → [OK].
Select [Off] for the communication modes that are not used on the server machine.

If you specify the communication modes that do not match those used on the remote fax server machine, a sending error may occur. For information on the communication modes used on the server machine, contact the administrator for the network you are using.
