Preparing to Scan Your Document

Before scanning, complete the following steps:

Step 1	Check your operating system.	"System Requirements (Scan)"
Step 2	Install the scanner driver.	See the Starter Guide.
Step 3	When the machine is connected to a network*, register the scanner.	"Registering the Scanner in MF Network Scan Utility (MF4890dw/MF4870dn/MF4720w Only)"

*	The network function is available only for MF4890dw/MF4870dn/MF4720w.
