Machine Connection Method (LPD/RAW/WSD)

You can select the following printing methods using a TCP/IP network.
LPD
RAW
WSD
IMPORTANT
When the setup is complete:
You must restart the machine to activate these settings.

Start the Remote UI, and then log on in system manager mode.

Click [Menu] -> [Network Settings].

Click [Edit] at the right side of [TCP/IP Settings].

Configure the protocol settings.
Setting LPD printing:

When using LPD printing:
Select the [Use LPD Printing] check box.
When not using LPD printing:
Clear the [Use LPD Printing] check box.

Proceed to step 5 if you are not specifying the settings for the other options.
Setting RAW printing:

Select the [Use RAW Printing] check box.
When not using RAW printing:
Clear the [Use RAW Printing] check box.

Setting WSD printing:

When using WSD printing:
Select the [Use WSD Printing] check box.
When not using WSD printing:
Clear the [Use WSD Printing] check box.

When obtaining the information for the machine using WSD printing, select the [Use WSD Browsing] check box. (If you select the [Use WSD Printing] check box, you cannot clear the check box.)

When using WSD scanning:
Select the [Use WSD Scanning] check box.
When not using WSD scanning:
Clear the [Use WSD Scanning] check box.

When using a computer scanner, select the [Use Computer Scanning] check box. (You cannot select [Use Computer Scanning] check box if [Use WSD Scanning] is cleared.)

When responding to a search request by Multicast Discovery, select the [Use Multicast Discovery] check box.

Proceed to step 5 if you are not specifying the settings for the other options.

Click [OK].

Restart the machine.
It is necessary to restart the machine to take effect the settings.
Turn OFF the machine and wait for at least 10 seconds before turning it back ON.
