Listen for the dial tone before entering a telephone number. If you enter a number before the dial tone occurs, the call may not be connected or you may inadvertently dial the wrong number.

If you cannot make a call using the external telephone when the fax receive mode is set to <Fax/Tel Auto Switch>, set <Public Line Connection> settings to <Adapter 1> or <Adapter 2>.
