Network

The flow of basic operations for using files stored on the network is shown below.

Storage Selection Screen

Available space appears on the Storage Selection screen.

Press to return to the upper level.

[Check Storage Info.]
Press to check the details of the storage location.

File Selection Screen

A list of folders and files in the selected storage location appears.
An icon indicating the file format of each file when it was scanned and stored appears

[Clear Selection]
Press to cancel the selection of a file.

You can specify the following settings:
Register to Quick Menu (See "Quick Menu.")

[Name]
Press to sort the files by name, in ascending or descending order.
[Date/Time]
Press to sort the files by date/time, in ascending or descending order.

Press to update the contents of the storage location.

[Display Image]
Press to view the contents of the selected file.

[Folder Operations]
Press to display the menu for editing the folders in the storage.

[Print]
Press to print the document.

[Edit File]
Press to display the menu for adding a file or displaying the details for, deleting, or renaming the selected file.

[Up]
Press to return to the upper level.

Edit File Screen

Display this screen when you want to edit a file in a folder.

[Details]
Press to check the details of the selected file.

[Delete]
Press to delete a file stored in the folder. You can select and delete up to 32 files at a time.

[Change File Name]
Press to change a file name.

[Add Files (Scan and Store)]
Press to add a file.

Scan Screen

Display this screen when you want to scan an original and store it as a file in the selected folder.

[Resolution]
Press to select the resolution for scanning.

You can specify the following settings:
Register/Edit Favorite Settings
Register to Quick Menu (See "Quick Menu.")
Change Default Settings

[Favorite Settings]
Press to recall scan settings or register frequently used settings in the Favorite Settings.

[Scan Size]
Press to set the size of the original that you are going to scan.

[File Format]
Press to select the file format for the files to store.

[Original Type]
Press to select the type of original (text only, photo only, or both text and photo) you are going to scan.

[File Name]
Press to assign the file a name.

[Options]
Press to specify other settings. You can set useful scanning modes such as Sharpness and Erase Frame.

[Restore Dflt. Set.]
Press to cancel all settings. (The machine restores the default settings for Scan and Store.)

[Copy Ratio]
Press to reduce or enlarge the scanning size of the original.

[2-Sided Original]
Press if you are scanning a two-sided original.

[Select Color]
Press to select the colour mode for scanning.

Print Settings Screen

Display this screen when you want to print files that are stored in a folder.

[Select Paper]
Press to select the paper size/type and the paper source.

You can specify the following settings:

[Favorite Settings]
Press to recall print settings or register frequently used settings in the Favorite Settings.

[All Pages]
Press to select all the pages for printing.

[Specify Pages]
Press to specify pages for printing.

[Change No. of Copies]
Press to set the number of prints when multiple files are selected. This key is displayed only when multiple files are selected.

[Restore Dflt. Set.]
Press to cancel all settings. (The machine restores the default settings for Access Stored Files.)

[Start Printing]
Press to start printing.

[Options]
Press to specify other settings. You can specify convenient settings such as selecting the halftone mode to use for printing, and enlarging the print area.

[Finishing]
Press to select the Collate, Group, or Staple mode.

[2-Sided Printing]
Press to make two-sided prints.

[Select Color]
Press to select the colour mode for printing.

IMPORTANT
In the following cases, you cannot store files in the Advanced Space of another imageRUNNER ADVANCE series machine on the network. (The numbers below may vary depending on the remaining capacity of the memory.)
When the Advanced Space of the other imageRUNNER ADVANCE series machine on the network lacks any free space.
When more than 32 computers or other machines simultaneously access the Advanced Space of another imageRUNNER ADVANCE series machine that has been made accessible on the network using SMB.
When the path length for the file, including the path to the folder, exceeds 256 characters.
When more than 100,000 files or folders are stored in the Advanced Space of the other imageRUNNER ADVANCE series machine on the network.
When more than 1,000 files or folders are stored in the selected folder.
When the size of a single file exceeds 2 GB.
If Authentication Management is set for users of the Advanced Space of another imageRUNNER ADVANCE series machine on the network, after you finish using the Advanced Space network, ensure that you press (Log In/Out) to log out.
NOTE
If you select a JPEG file, it will be printed with [All Pages].
We recommend that you delete unwanted files or image data from your storage location to make space for storing new files.
