Direct Mail
You can set the machine to not print out junk faxes received by the machine.
Benefits from Not Printing Junk Faxes
Conserves paper
By not printing junk faxes that will be thrown away without being read enables you to save paper resources.
Required Condition
This section describes how to set the machine to store all received faxes in a "Direct Mail" box in the Confidential Fax Inboxes without printing them, and only print out faxes received from known business partners after saving them in a "Work" box.

Naming the Confidential Fax Inboxes
1.
Follow the procedure below to set the items on the Settings/Registration screen.
Press
(Settings/Registration).
Press [Function Settings] → [Receive/Forward] → [Common Settings].
Press [Set Fax/I-Fax Inbox] → [Set/Register Confidential Fax Inboxes].

Follow the procedure below to enter the name for the confidential fax box.
Press the number of the confidential fax box to change the name of.
Press [Register Box Name].
Enter 'Direct Mail' → press [OK].
Press [OK].

Follow the procedure below to enter the name for another confidential fax box.
Press the number of the confidential fax box to change the name of.
Press [Register Box Name].
Enter 'Work' → press [OK].
Press [OK].

Press [Close] repeatedly until the Main Menu screen appears.

Follow the procedure below to set the items on the Settings/Registration screen.
Press
(Settings/Registration).
Press [Function Settings] → [Receive/Forward] → [Common Settings].
Press [Forwarding Settings].

Press [Other Operations].
7.
Press [Forward w/o Conditions] → press the <Receive Method> drop-down list → select [Fax: Line 1].

Press [OK].
9.
Press [Forwarding Destination] → [Confidential Fax Inbox].
10.
Select "Direct Mail" → press [OK] → [Close].
All received faxes are now set to be moved to the "Direct Mail" box without being printed to paper.

Press [Register].

Follow the procedure below to enter the name for the condition.
Press [Condition Name].
Enter an appropriate condition name → press [OK].

Press [Conditions] → press the <Receive Method> drop-down list → select [Fax: Line Shared].
14.
Press the <Fax Number> drop-down list → select [Equals] → press [Set].
15.
Enter the fax number of the business partner → press [OK].
16.
Press [Forwarding Destination] → [Confidential Fax Inbox].
17.
Select "Work" → press [OK] → [Next].
18.
Press [OK] repeatedly until the forwarding settings screen appears.
19.
Select the registered forwarding condition → press [Validate/Invalidate].
The forwarding condition is enabled, and the specified faxes are now set to be moved to the "Work" box after being printed to paper.
From this point on, it is recommended that you periodically check the "Direct Mail" box, and if you find any required faxes, add forwarding conditions so that those faxes are forwarded to the "Work" box.
Reference Information
Forwarding Done Notice
On the register forwarding condition screen, press [Forwarding Done Notice] and register e-mail to receive an e-mail notice indicating that the forwarding was completed.
If you select [Notice Only for Errors], e-mail notice is sent only when the forwarding was not correctly completed.
Print List
You can print out the content of the forwarding settings.
1. Follow the procedure below to set the items on the Settings/Registration screen.
Press
(Settings/Registration).
Press [Function Settings] → [Receive/Forward] → [Common Settings].
Press [Forwarding Settings].
2. Select the forwarding condition to print → press [Other Operations].
3. Press [Print List].
A confirmation screen is displayed.
4. Press [Yes].
A list of the forwarding settings is printed.
