Using Favorites to Print (Windows)

Printer driver settings for various types of printing are provided in the favorites by default. You can specify print settings according to your needs simply by selecting an item from the list of favorites. In addition to the settings provided by default, you can register frequently used settings.

Reduced work for specifying settings
When printing with frequently used settings, you can register the settings in favorites to reduce the work performed each time to specify the settings.
Preventing misprints
You can prevent misprints occurring due to mistakes when specifying settings.

Required Condition

This section describes the procedure for registering the settings for printing two pages on one sheet of paper (2 on 1) in black-and-white, and selecting the registered favorite settings to perform printing.
Follow the procedures below.

From the [File] menu of the application software you are using for the document to print → select [Print].
The [Print] dialog box is displayed.
NOTE
Printing methods may differ depending on the applications you are using. For details, see the instruction manuals provided with the application software.
The display may differ according to the operating system, as well as the type and version of the printer driver.

In the [Print] dialog box, click [Properties].

On the [Page Setup] sheet, press the <Page Layout> drop-down list → select [2 on 1].

On the [Quality] sheet, press the <Color Mode> drop-down list → select [Black and White].

Click [Add].
The [Add Profile] dialog box is displayed.

Enter '2 pages/sheet (B&W)' in [Name] → select for [Icon] → click [OK].
Specify [Comment] as necessary.

From the [File] menu of the application software you are using for the document to print → select [Print].
The [Print] dialog box is displayed.

In the [Print] dialog box, click [Properties].

Press the <Profile> drop-down list → select [2 pages/sheet (B&W)] → click [OK].

In the [Print] dialog box, click [OK].
The document is printed in black-and-white with two pages on each sheet of paper (2 on 1).
