[Advanced Settings] Dialog Box ([Quality] Tab)

Enables you to configure detailed print quality settings. Select an item in the [Setting Item] list, then select a setting from the drop-down list.

Descriptions of Settings

[Graphics Mode]
Enables you to select a processing method for print data.
[Raster Mode]
The driver draws lines, circles, etc. in the printer driver and then sends the finished image to the printer.
[Rendering Rate]
Enables you to set the image rasterizing method for converting color documents to grayscale documents.
[1 BPP]
Replaces all parts other than white with black for characters and fine lines, and prints at high speed.
[1 BPP [Enhanced]]
Expresses gray gradation as halftones and prints at high speed.
[24 BPP]
Takes longer to print than [1 BPP] and [1 BPP [Enhanced]], but prints very high quality documents.
[Resolution]
Enables you to select the print resolution.
[Gradation]
Sets the gradation for printing halftone images. [High 2] uses finer gradations than [High 1], and prints very smooth gradations.
[Halftones] (Color)
Enables you to specify dither patterns for representing halftones (areas between dark areas and light areas).
[+][-]
[Halftones] (Black and White)
Enables you to specify dither patterns for representing halftones (areas between dark areas and light areas).
