Descriptions of Settings

[Color Adjustment]/[Grayscale Adjustment] Tab

You can check the adjusted image with [Original] and [Preview].
[Increase (Color)]
Click the button of the color you want to strengthen. You can adjust the color by clicking and dragging the image toward the color(s) you want to strengthen.
[Brightness]
Adjust the brightness with the slide bar.
[Contrast]
Adjust the contrast with the slide bar.
[Restore Defaults]
Returns all the settings to their standard (default) values.

[Matching] Tab

Enables you to configure settings relating to matching and gamma adjustment.
[Matching Mode]
[Printer Default]
Uses the printer default setting.
[Driver Matching Mode]
Performs printer driver (computer) matching processing.
[ICM Mode]
Performs matching processing using the ICM function of the printer driver.
[Gamma Adjustment]
You can adjust the brightness of the print result so that the brightest parts and darkest parts of the image are not lost. This function is useful when you want to print brighter than the original image or change the brightness when printing. Select a gamma value from [Gamma].
If you are using a high performance computer, adjustment at host (computer) is recommended. This may decrease the printing time.
[Environment Light Matching Mode [Kyuanos]]
Performs matching with appearance adjusted according to differences in lighting. Set [Monitor Color Space] and [Environment Light] under [Environment Light Matching Mode [Kyuanos]].
[No Driver Matching]
Select this function to perform the matching process in the application. If the matching process is performed in both the application and the printer or driver, colors may not be printed correctly.
[Use]
Select this when performing the matching process in the driver (computer) or at the printer.
[Do Not Use]
Select this when performing the matching process in an application.
[Application Color Matching Priority]
If colors are not printed as intended, deselecting this check box enables you to perform matching processing at the driver or device.
[Matching Method]
Sets which element should be prioritized in color matching. Depending on the printer model you are using, you may be able to specify a custom profile downloaded to the printer.
[Printer Default]
Uses the printer setting.
[Perceptual [Photographic]]/[General]
Gives priority to color hue in matching and generates photographic tone.
[Perceptual [Monitor Color Matched]]/[Perceptual]
Gives priority to color hue in matching and matches the colors on the monitor.
[Saturation]
Gives priority to vividness in matching.
[Colorimetric]
Gives priority to reducing the color difference between an original document on screen (a logo, for example) and the printed output.
[Colorimetric [No White-point Correction]]
Matching functions the same as Relative Colorimetric option or Colorimetric option but without white correction.
[Vivid Photo]
Provides stronger and deeper colors than [Perceptual [Photographic]].
[Standard]
Uses standard color matching suitable for the selected Objective.
Required condition (when specifying a custom profile downloaded to the printer): [Device Settings] tab → [Device Function Settings] dialog box → select [303 or later] from [Platform Version].
Functions that cannot be used with this function:
[Matching Mode] → [Printer Default]
[Matching Mode] → [Do Not Use]
[Monitor Profile]
Enables you to select the setting suitable for your monitor when [Driver Matching Mode] is selected for [Matching Mode]. If several gamma values are provided for one option, to obtain better results select the higher gamma value if the printed image is lighter than that of the monitor.
If the monitor is set to a custom setting, it is difficult to produce printed output similar to the color of the monitor when performing matching.
Functions that cannot be used with this function: [Matching Mode] → [Do Not Use]
[Environment Light Matching Mode [Kyuanos]]
Enables you to select the appropriate settings when you have selected [Environment Light Matching Mode [Kyuanos]] from [Matching Mode].
[Monitor Color Space]
Select the color space used by your monitor.
[Environment Light]
Select the color temperature of the environmental light.
[Gamma]
Enables you to select the appropriate gamma value when you have selected [Gamma Adjustment] from [Matching Mode].
[Restore Defaults]
Returns all the settings to their standard (default) values.
