[Page Setup] Tab

Settings relating to paper are applied to the pages of the document to which exceptional settings are applied.
[Page]
Set the page range for exceptional settings.
[Select by]
Select whether to specify sheets as the paper source or the paper type. If you select [Apply Basic Settings], the settings in the tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab are applied.
[Paper Source]/[Paper Type]
Select the paper source or paper type for printing the pages of the document to which exceptional settings are applied. If you select [Apply Basic Settings], the functions set in the tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab are applied. Click [Settings] next to [Paper Type] to select a paper type from among those registered in the printer.
[Output Size]
Set the page size for printing the pages of the document to which exceptional settings are applied. If you select [Apply Basic Settings], the functions set in the tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab are applied.
If used at the same time as the following settings, only [Apply Basic Settings] can be set.
[Finishing] tab → [Print Style] → [Booklet Printing] → [Detailed Settings for Booklet] dialog box → [Booklet Printing Process] → [With Application Settings]
[Finishing] tab → [Saddle Stitch Settings] → [Fold + Saddle Stitch]
[Print Style]
Switch between 1-sided printing and 2-sided printing. If you select [Apply Basic Settings], the functions set in the tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab are applied.
[Basic Settings]
Displays current printer driver settings information for tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab.
[Finishing Details]
Shifts the starting point for printing upward/rightward. This function is useful for adjusting margins when the widths of the top and bottom margins and right and left margins differ, and for hiding the header information of faxes. If you select [Apply Basic Settings], the functions set in the tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab are applied.
[View Settings]
Enables you to check the current settings as a list.

[Quality] Tab

Settings relating to print quality are applied to the specified pages of the document as exceptional settings.
[Page]
Set the page range for exceptional settings.
[Halftones]
Enables you to specify dither patterns for representing halftones (areas between dark areas and light areas).
[Apply Basic Settings]
Applies the settings of tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab.
[Resolution]
Uses a dither pattern that gives priority to resolution. Prints contours smoothly. This dither pattern is suitable for standard documents and graphics (lines, charts, etc.).
[High Resolution]
Uses a dither pattern resolution with even more lines than [Resolution]. This dither pattern is suitable for documents that have small text and fine lines, and documents that require sharp contours such as CAD etc.
[Gradation]
Uses a dither pattern that gives priority to gradation. This dither pattern is suitable for printing smooth gradations.
[Error Diffusion]
Uses a dither pattern that gives priority to error diffusion, which has excellent detail. This dither pattern is suitable for printing documents containing small text and fine lines.

[Custom]
Click [Settings] to specify the number of screen lines (frequency) and pattern angle.
[Sharpness]
Enables you to adjust the sharpness of the contours of images.
[Density Fine Adjustment]
Enables you to adjust the print density for small-sized text and thin lines. This function is useful for correcting "cracks" in text and lines.
Required condition: Select [Quality] tab → [Resolution] → [1200 dpi]
[View Settings]
Enables you to check the current settings as a list.

[Color] Tab

Settings relating to color are applied to the specified pages of the document as exceptional settings.
[Page]
Set the page range for exceptional settings.
[Color Mode]
Enables you to switch between color printing and grayscale (black and white) printing. Selecting [Auto [Color/B&W]] enables the printer to automatically detect whether each page should be printed in color or grayscale.
Switching Between Color and Grayscale
[RGB Matching Mode]
Enables you to set the color matching mode for RGB input.
[ICC Profile]
Processing that uses an ICC profile for RGB data.
[Device Link Profile]
Processing that uses a device link profile, which is a combination of ambient light and color space profiles. You can select the optimum setting from [RGB Input [Light + Color Space]].
Functions that cannot be used with this function ([Device Link Profile]):
[Color] tab → [RGB Source Profile]
[Color] tab → [RGB Matching Method]
[Color] tab → [RGB Pure Black Process]
[RGB Source Profile]
Enables you to select the RGB profile applied to your monitor when printing RGB data.
[Apply Basic Settings]
Applies basic settings configured in tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab.
[sRGB v3.0 (Canon)]/[sRGB v1.31 (Canon)]
Sets the industry standard definition for standard Windows (computer) monitors. If you are using an sRGB compatible monitor, you can use this setting to print colors that are close to the colors shown on your monitor.
[Canon HDTV gamma 1.5 Monitor], [Canon HDTV gamma 1.8 Monitor], and [Canon HDTV gamma 2.4 Monitor]
You can select the gamma correction level for RGB data. The higher the value, the darker the print result.
[None]
Performs a color analysis from RGB data to CMYK without applying a profile.
When you specify an original profile, download it to the printer using the imageWARE Enterprise Management Console Resource Management plug-in.
[RGB Matching Method]
Enables you to select a color rendering dictionary (CRD) to be used when you print RGB images, objects, and text.
[Apply Basic Settings]
Applies basic settings configured in tabs other than the [Exceptional Settings] tab.
[Saturation]
Optimizes the output of pure, saturated colors and produces clear outlines for text.
[Perceptual [Monitor Color Matched]]/[Perceptual]
Optimizes the range of colors on the printer to produce the best result for bitmapped images. Printed colors will match the appearance of colors on the computer monitor.
[Perceptual [Photographic]]/[General]
Optimizes the range of colors on the printer to produce the best result for photographic images.
[Colorimetric]
Provides a close match when rendering RGB colors into CMYK colors, regardless of the media being used.
[Vivid Photo]
Provides stronger and deeper colors than [Perceptual [Photographic]].
[RGB Pure Black Process]
Prints black and gray data with the equivalent ratio of R to G to B using black (K) toner only. If you do not select this option, the CMYK toners are used, with the settings selected for [Output Profile] are applied.
[RGB Input [Light + Color Space]]
Enables you to set the ambient light color temperature and monitor color space used for a device link profile. Select one of the following combinations.
[D50 + sRGB]
[D65 + sRGB]
[D50 + AdobeRGB]
[D65 + AdobeRGB]
[CMYK Matching Mode]
Enables you to set the color matching mode for CMYK input.
[ICC Profile]
Processing that uses an ICC profile for CMYK data.
[Device Link Profile]
Processing that uses a device link profile, which is a combination of ambient light and color space profiles.
Functions that cannot be used with this function:
[Color] tab → [CMYK Simulation Profile]
[Color] tab → [CMYK Pure Black Process]
[CMYK Simulation Profile]
Enables you to select the simulation goal to apply for printing the CMYK color data.
[Apply Basic Settings]

[Euro Standard v1.00 (Canon)]
Uses the European press standard.
[<Download Profile>]
Uses a custom simulation profile previously downloaded to the printer.
[None]
Does not use a simulation profile.
[CMYK Pure Black Process]
