Selecting the Method for Connecting the Machine

See "Attention (Selecting the Method for Connecting to the Machine)" in advance.
Select from the following two methods, depending on your environment and devices.
NOTE
Connect the machine to a computer through a network or with the USB cable included with the machine.
You can use both a USB connection and a network connection (wired LAN) at the same time.
 

USB Connection

Connect using the included USB cable.
Follow the steps in the procedure below.
"Installing the MF Drivers and MF Toolbox"

Wired LAN

Connect using a LAN cable.
"Connecting to Wired LAN"
NOTE
Required devices:
Check to make sure that there is a free port for connecting the machine or the computer you use to the router or hub.
Use a Category 5 or higher twisted pair cable for the LAN.
