Allowing Access from Specific MAC Addresses(imageRUNNER 2202N/2002N Only)

To allow access to the machine by networked computers, you can register specific MAC addresses.
Use the Remote UI to specify MAC addresses. You can only select to enable or disable this feature using the operation panel.
IMPORTANT
When the setup is complete:
Restart the machine to activate these settings.
NOTE
Number of MAC address that can be specified:
You can specify up to 10 MAC addresses.

Registering from the Remote UI

Start the Remote UI, and then log on in system manager mode.

Click [Settings/Registration].

Click [Security Settings] for <System Management Settings>, and then click [MAC Address Filter].

Click [Edit...] at the right side of <MAC Address Filter>.

Select the [Use Filter] check box.
IMPORTANT
When [Use Filter] is selected:
Access from the MAC addresses that are not allowed is restricted. Doublecheck the MAC address when entering.
You may not access the network if you register a MAC address that does not exist. In this case, initialize network settings to access the network.

Specify the MAC address to register.

Enter the MAC address.
Do not use "-" (hyphen) to divide numbers into groups such as AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF.

Click [Add].
NOTE
To delete registered MAC addresses:
(1)
Select the MAC address to delete.
(2)
Click [Delete].

Click [OK].

Restart the machine.
It is necessary to restart the machine to take effect the settings.
Turn OFF the machine and wait for at least 10 seconds before turning it back ON.

Registering from the Operation Panel

Press [] (Settings/Registration).

Press [] or [] to highlight <System Management Settings>, and then press [OK].
If System Manager Information Settings are specified:
Use the numeric keys to enter the System Manager ID and PIN, and then press [OK].
Press (Log In/Out).
