Shortcut to Automatic Gradation Adjustment

A shortcut to Automatic Gradation Adjustment is available in [<Settings/Registration Shortcut>], enabling you to access the necessary items directly.

IMPORTANT
Make sure to perform this function in the stable room environment (i.e. temperature and humidity). The colour may become unstable due to the rapid changes in room environment, especially soon after staring up an air conditioner during summer or winter season. It is recommended that you select [Full Adjust] when performing an automatic gradation adjustment. Select [Quick Adjust] for a quick, but less complete adjustment between regular full adjustment recalibrations. This machine adjusts the toner and print speed according to the paper type. To make effective adjustments, select the correct paper type.

Test pages are not counted as part of the copy or print total page counts.

Open Auto Adjust Gradation Setting Screen:

This enables you to select the desired method for automatic gradation adjustment.

Perform Auto Adjust Gradation (Full Adjust):

This enables you to perform automatic gradation adjustment (full adjustment).

Perform Auto Adjust Gradation (Full Adjust)+Auto Correct Color Tone:

This enables you to perform automatic gradation adjustment (full adjustment), followed by automatic colour tone correction at the paper feed location selected for the full adjustment.

IMPORTANT
[Perform Auto Adjust Gradation (Full Adjust)] and [Perform Auto Adjust Gradation (Full Adjust) + Auto Correct Color Tone] cannot be selected in the event of color sensor failure.

Press

Press [Settings/Reg.Shortcut] → [Auto Adjust Gradation].

Select the method for automatic gradation adjustment.

Select the method for auto adjust gradation.

Perform Auto Adjust Gradation (Full Adjust)+Auto Correct Color Tone

Press [Perform Auto Adjust Gradation (Full Adjust) + Auto Correct Color Tone].

After performing a full adjustment according to steps 4 and 5 in "Full Adjustment", the colour tone is automatically corrected at the paper feed location (on the paper) selected for the full adjustment.

NOTE
Press this button to perform a full gradation adjustment and auto color tone correction on the same paper. The printer executes an auto color tone correction followed by a full gradation adjustment. This achieves high operability and reduces the time required for the corrections as the adjustments are automatically performed successively.
