IMPORTANT

Take care when handling the optional equipment that is attached to the machine. When an optional unit's cover is opened to replace a staple cartridge, discard the punch waste/trim waste/staple waste, or clear paper or staple jams, prints may still be output if other optional units are operating normally, and are not involved in the paper or staple jam removal procedure.

NOTE

When the punch waste tray is full, you cannot make copies or prints using the Hole Punch mode.
The Puncher Unit-BT1, Puncher Unit-BF1, and Puncher Unit-BG1 are optional products.
The Puncher Unit-BT1 is available only when the Staple Finisher-Q1 PRO or Booklet Finisher-Q1 PRO is attached.
The Puncher Unit-BF1 and Puncher Unit-BG1 are available only when the Staple Finisher-N1 or Booklet Finisher-N1 is attached.

NOTE

Check that the guide (F-A2) is closed before pulling out the punch waste tray. If the guide is open, the punch waste tray cannot be pulled out. Close the guide as shown in the illustration below.

IMPORTANT

Make sure that the punch waste tray is completely emptied.

If the punch waste tray is not securely in place, you cannot make copies or prints in the Hole Punch mode.
Check that the guide (F-A2) is closed before inserting the punch waste tray. If the guide is open, the punch waste tray cannot be inserted. Close the guide as shown in the illustration below.

CAUTION

When closing the front cover of the finisher, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury.

IMPORTANT
