Changing the Remote UI Settings

Specify whether the TLS encrypted communication function should be used for the Remote UI.

Start the Remote UI, and then log in as Administrator.

Click [Settings/Registration].

Select [Security] from the [Management Settings] menu.

Click [Remote UI Settings].

Click [Edit].

Change the Remote UI settings.

Select the [Use TLS] check box.
If you clear the check box, the remote UI cannot use TLS encrypted communication.
(2)
Click [OK].
IMPORTANT
If you cannot set [Use TLS]
When a key is not selected for TLS, [Use TLS] cannot be checked.

Perform a hard reset or restart the printer.

After performing a hard reset or restarting the printer, the settings are effective.

To perform a hard reset
You can perform a hard reset using the following procedure.
1.
Click [Settings/Registration].
2.
Select [Device Control] from the [Output/Control] menu.
3.
Select [Hard Reset], and then click [Execute].
