Clearing Paper Jams in the Insertion Unit

Open the top cover.

Remove the paper that is not jammed from the top cover.

Check whether paper is jammed inside the top cover.
| If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.  |
 | Close the top cover. |
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.
Clearing Paper Jams Inside the Insertion Unit

Open the front cover.

Check whether paper is jammed in the upper delivery guide.
| Open the upper delivery guide. |
| If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.  |

Open the insertion unit.
4
Check whether paper is jammed in the sub-inserter delivery guide.
| Open the sub-inserter delivery guide. |
| If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.  |
 | Close the sub-inserter delivery guide. |

Return the insertion unit to its original position.

Close the upper delivery guide.
7
Open the lower delivery guide.
8
Check whether paper is jammed.
| If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.  |
| Close the lower delivery guide. |

Close the front cover.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.
Clearing Paper Jams in the Folding Unit

The procedure described in this section is required only if the optional Document Insertion / Folding Unit-K is attached. |

Open the front cover.

Open the lower delivery guide.
3
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Pull out the folding unit.
5
Check whether paper is jammed in the exit slot.
| If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow. |
| Remove any jammed paper.  |

Check whether paper is jammed in the left guide.
| Open the left guide. |
| Remove any jammed paper from the inside guide.  |
| Remove any jammed paper from the inside guide.  |
7
Check whether paper is jammed in the right guide.
| Open the right guide. |
| If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.  |
| Close the right guide. |
8
Close the left guide, and return the folding unit to its original position.
9
Close the lower delivery guide and the front cover.
