License Types
This section describes the types of licenses and their features.
Node Lock License
A node lock license is something that gives you the authority to use Desktop without any restrictions, and has no expiration date.
If you are going to be using Desktop continuously, authenticate the software with a node lock license. Desktop can only be used on the computer where the license was authenticated.
For details on how to authenticate a node lock license, refer to the following.
Trial License
A trial license allows you to use the same functions as a node lock license, but has a limited period of use. A trial license also cannot be transferred to another computer.
The trial period starts being counted from when you start using the trial license. Desktop cannot be started when the trial period is over.

Desktop can be used by authenticating a node lock license or switching to using a floating license during or after the trial period.

Floating License
A floating license is something that gives you the authority to simultaneously use Desktop on any computer, up to the maximum number of licenses.
A separate license server for floating licenses is required to authenticate a floating license. The computer using Desktop is always connected to the license server and network when used, but can also be configured to be temporarily used without connecting to the network.
