Monitoring Fax Reception Jobs
If you configure to monitor fax reception jobs with the Quick Printing Tool, a notification message can be automatically displayed when a fax is received.

Only the reception of faxes that have had their information retrieved in the Quick Printing Tool can be monitored.
The information for the devices to monitor can be automatically retrieved by selecting one of the following check boxes in [Monitoring Settings] when specifying the monitoring settings.
[Display the device status]
[Monitor print jobs]
[Monitor send fax jobs]
[Monitor received fax jobs]
Device information is also automatically retrieved by starting Desktop Monitor Setup.
If automatic retrieval of device information fails, see the following.

Right-click Quick Printing Tool and select [Detailed Settings].
[Detailed Settings for imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Quick Printing Tool] is displayed.

You can also click [Detailed Settings] in [List for Quick Printing Tool] to perform the same operation.

Select the [Monitoring Settings] tab.

Select the [Monitor received fax jobs] check box.

To perform notification by sound, select the [Notify by sound when fax is received] check box, and click [Notification Sound Settings].
[Notification Sound Settings] is displayed.

Set the notification sound.

[Notification Sound]
|
Enables you to set the notification sound.
|

[Use default sound]
|
Select this to set the default sound.
|
|
[Change sound]
|
Select this to set a sound other than the default sound.
|

[File Name]
|
Displays the path to the file used for the notification sound.
|
|
[Browse]
|
Select the file to use as the notification sound.
|
|
[Play]
|
Plays the selected file.

When [Change sound] is selected, you can confirm the sound by clicking [Play].
When [Change sound] is selected, the sound file specified for [File Name] is set as the notification sound. In [File Name], you can specify the preferred wav/wave format sound file for the notification sound by clicking [Browse].
If [Change sound] is selected, confirm the following and select the file.
File path: Within 255 characters
File size: Within 10 MB
You can click [OK] or [Cancel] to stop the sound.

Click [OK].
[Detailed Settings for imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Quick Printing Tool] is displayed again.

Click [OK].
The notification method of received faxes is configured.
