Exporting Separate User Settings
You can export the separate user settings of the version of Desktop you are currently using.
IMPORTANT
|
If you import system settings, the existing settings are overwritten. Other settings are not imported if they are the same as the existing settings.
If the maximum number of settings that can be registered is exceeded, the import process is canceled without importing the settings.

Exporting Libraries
1.
Start Desktop Browser.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Library Management].
The [Library Management] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Libraries to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the libraries to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.
NOTE
|
If you are exporting to the system drive, create a new folder directly on the system drive, and select it as the destination folder.
A single file (LibrarySettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

6.
Click [OK].
Exporting Monitored Folders
1.
Start Desktop Browser.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Tools] > [Monitored Folder List].
The [Monitored Folder List] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Monitored Folders to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the monitored folders to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.
NOTE

If you are exporting to the system drive, create a new folder directly on the system drive, and select it as the destination folder.
A single file (MonitoredFolderSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

6.
Click [OK].
Exporting Output Buttons
1.
Start Desktop Browser.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Tools] > [Export Output Bar Settings].
The [Select Output Bar Buttons to Export] is displayed.
3.
Select the check box for the output buttons to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
4.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.
NOTE

If you are exporting to the system drive, create a new folder directly on the system drive, and select it as the destination folder.
A single file (OutputBarSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

5.
Click [OK].
Exporting Stamps
1.
Start Desktop Editor.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Settings/Management] > [Manage Stamps].
The [Manage Stamps] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Stamps to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the stamps to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.

A single file (StampSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

6.
Click [OK].
Exporting Stamped Images
1.
Start Desktop Editor.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Settings/Management] > [Manage Stamped Images].
The [Manage Stamped Images] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Stamped Images to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the stamped images to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.

A single file (StampedImageSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

6.
Click [OK].
Exporting Print Templates
1.
Start Desktop Editor.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Settings/Management] > [Manage Print Settings Templates].
The [Manage Print Settings Templates] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Print Settings Templates to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the print settings templates to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.
NOTE

If you are exporting to the system drive, create a new folder directly on the system drive, and select it as the destination folder.
A single file (PrintSettingsTemplateSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.
The import procedure differs if you export a Canon Desktop Document Template file (*.iwbt). For details, see the following.

Click [OK].
Exporting Ribbon Tabs
1.
Start Desktop Browser or Desktop Editor.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Option] > [Customize the Ribbon].
The [Customize the Ribbon] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Tabs to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the tabs to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.
NOTE

If you are exporting to the system drive, create a new folder directly on the system drive, and select it as the destination folder.
A single file (BrowserRibbonSettings.iwdtsa/EditorRibbonSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

6.
Click [OK].
Exporting Toolbars
1.
Start Desktop Browser or Desktop Editor.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Option] > [Customize the Toolbar].
The [Customize the Toolbar] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Buttons to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the tool buttons to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.

A single file (BrowserToolbarSettings.iwdtsa/EditorToolbarSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

Click [OK].
Exporting Custom Tabs
1.
Start Desktop Editor.
2.
Select the Details Window > [Print Settings] tab > [Detailed Settings for Insert Sheets].
The [Sheets for Insertion Settings] is displayed.
3.
Click [Manage Custom Tabs].
The [Manage Custom Tabs] is displayed.
4.
Click [Export].
The [Select Custom Tabs to Export] is displayed.
5.
Select the check box for the custom tabs to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
6.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.

A single file (CustomTabSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

7.
Click [OK].
Exporting Favorites
1.
Start Desktop Editor.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Settings/Management] > [Export Favorites].
The [Select Favorites to Export] is displayed.
3.
Select the check box for the favorites to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
4.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.

If you are exporting to the system drive, create a new folder directly on the system drive, and select it as the destination folder.
A single file (FavoriteSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

5.
Click [OK].
Exporting Headers/Footers
1.
Start Desktop Editor.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Settings/Management] > [Manage Favorite Header/Footer].
The [Manage Favorites] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Favorites to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the favorites to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.
NOTE

If you are exporting to the system drive, create a new folder directly on the system drive, and select it as the destination folder.
A single file (HeaderFooterFavoritesSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

6.
Click [OK].
Exporting Extraction Conditions for Search Annotations
1.
Start Desktop Browser.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Tools] > [Set Extraction Conditions for Annotations for Search].
The [Set Extraction Conditions for Annotations for Search] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
The [Select Extraction Condition of Annotations for Search to Export] is displayed.
4.
Select the check box for the extraction condition of annotations for search that you want to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
5.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.
NOTE

If you are exporting to the system drive, create a new folder directly on the system drive, and select it as the destination folder.
A single file (ExtractSettings.iwdtsa) is exported. Do not change the file extension.

6.
Click [OK].
Exporting System Settings
1.
Start Desktop Browser.
2.
Select the [File] menu > [Option] > [System Settings].
The [System Settings] is displayed.
3.
Click [Export].
A confirmation message is displayed.
4.
Click [Yes].
The [Select System Settings for Export] is displayed.
5.
Select the check box for the system settings to export, and click [OK].
The [Save As] is displayed.
6.
Select the desired storage destination and click [Save].
When the export process is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.

Click [OK].
